Frequently Asked Questions

Q ~ Do I have to have more than one estimate?
A ~ No ~ There is no law that requires you to get more than one estimate.

Q ~ Do I have the right to choose my repair facility?
A ~ Yes ~ That is your right as the owner of the vehicle.   Simply inform your insurance
company that your vehicle is going to be repaired at the facility you choose.

Q ~ Do I have to agree with the insurance adjuster's estimate?
A ~ Reference the "Appraisal Clause" of your policy for information pertinent to your
policy.

Q ~ Is a lower estimate better?
A ~ NOT ALWAYS, there may be damage that was not added  to the
estimate.  Please have the body shop's estimator explain to you the damage that is listed
on the estimate to ensure your vehicle is completely repaired.

Q ~ Am I entitled to a rental car?
A ~ MAYBE ~  If you are at fault in the accident, check your policy for coverage limitations.

If you are not at fault for the accident YES you are entitled to a rental car.  Contact the
insurance company of the person at fault in the accident and ask for a rental car while
your vehicle is being repaired.

Q ~ Does the repair work have a warranty period?
A ~ We want you to be satisfied.  If you ever have a problem with anything repaired by
Andy's Auto Body, just let us know and we'll take care of it for you.  We have a Lifetime
Warranty on our paint.  If for any reason the paint is found to be defective (fading,
peeling, etc.) we will repaint the repaired section free of charge for as long as you own
the vehicle.
Repair warranties are often shop-specific.  When obtaining an estimate from another
facility, please ask for their warranty  information.

Q ~ What is an Insurance Company's "List"?
A ~ The Insurance Company's "List" is referred to as a DRP (Direct Repair Program).
The DRP is an agreement between the insurance company and the repair facility to
repair your vehicle.  Andy's Auto Body  has chosen NOT  to participate in the DRP
program, as we work for the owner of the vehicle, not for the insurance company.
Our non-participation allows no conflict of interest as our customers and their vehicles
are our #1 concern!

Q ~ How many days will you need my vehicle?
A ~ The number of days needed to repair your vehicle depends upon the
damage.  Please ask us and we'll be able to give you the repair time-frame.

Q ~ What type of equipment is needed to repair my vehicle?
A ~ This depends on the amount of damage to your vehicle.  Minor scratches require no
"equipment" during the repair process.
Frame damages require utilization of major equipment, which we have.   Andy's Auto
Body has the newest and latest equipment to repair your vehicle to it's pre-accident
condition.

Q ~ What does a paint booth do?
A ~ A paint booth that does not bake the paint onto your vehicle simply filters the air
before it enters the booth.  Andy's Auto Body utilizes a booth that bakes the paint onto
your vehicle so you receive your vehicle much sooner than when repaired by a facility
that does not utilize this technology.
